Esri ArcGIS Integration for Local Government
Code Cases, Permits, Inspections and Complaints on Your Own Parcel Data
GovOwl connects to the Esri ArcGIS your city or county already runs, live and two-way. Code enforcement cases, permits, licenses, inspections, and complaints reference the correct parcel, address, owner, and zoning, read from your own layers at the moment the record is created. Addresses standardize across every department, and inspections, permits, violations, and notes stay on the parcel over time, on one record. ArcGIS stays the authoritative source. For agencies that have no GIS, GovOwl can display Google Maps instead.
Code Enforcement and Permitting, Started From the Map
An officer opens the map, selects a parcel, and starts a case. A resident reports the empty lot behind the gas station with no address at all, and the pin resolves it to a real parcel and a real owner before anyone drives out. Repeat violations and complaint clusters surface as a pattern on the map rather than buried in a case list, which is what a director takes to a council meeting.
Any Layer You Publish
Zoning, overlays, and historic districts route a building permit or plan review to the right reviewer automatically. Floodplains, aquifer recharge zones, wells, and setbacks flag a septic application at intake, before staff time is spent on it. Applications outside your jurisdiction are caught before they are accepted. Whatever your GIS team maintains, GovOwl reads it and acts on it.
Inspections Routed by Geography
Inspections and code cases assign by district and route by location, so an inspector’s day is built around where the work actually is. In the field, the native iPad app carries the parcel and the map with it, with or without a signal.
No New Mapping System
GovOwl uses the ArcGIS layers your agency already maintains. Nothing new to learn, no second map to reconcile, and no duplicate property records for IT to clean up later. ArcGIS integration is live at agencies today, agency-facing for your staff and public-facing for residents, on Esri ArcGIS or Google Maps, and we will connect to yours the same way.
